Collins Contracting is a site contractor located in Fredericksburg, VA. We are looking for a qualified candidate to assist our lead mechanics with heavy equipment repairs and maintenance.

i. Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
ii. Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
iii. Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
iv. Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades.
v. Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
vi. Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary.
vii. Perform vehicle assessments and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspection.

i. Valid driver's license.
ii. Aptitude for mathematics and science.
iii. Knowledge of diesel engine components.
iv. Good IT and diagnostic skills.
v. Able to lift up to 150 pounds.
vi. Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
vii. Attention to detail.
viii. Good interpersonal skills.
ix. Excellent verbal communication skills.
