Project Strategy
UNDERSTANDING + PLANNING YOUR PROJECT
Pre-construction is the due diligence behind any construction project. As such, it is an integral part of the construction process to determine the scope of work, budget, materials, and much more.
By conducting careful preparatory work during our discovery process, we will identify complex issues, evaluate cost impacts, predict potential impediments, and provide value engineering solutions. We then customize your plan with your objectives in mind while establishing expectations to ensure the project’s success.
-
Implementing proper erosion and sediment controls during the clearing and grubbing phase is critical to maintaining a sound work area while keeping critical areas undamaged. Collins Contracting continuously moniters clearing crews and ensures that the project plan is executed.
-
Grading is the work of ensuring a level or smoothly sloped base to create a structure's foundation, a road's base, surface drainage, or the like. Our team of construction industry veterans specializing in earthwork and grading utilizes state-of-the-art technology to provide earthwork and grading services.
Collins Contracting performs all scopes of earthwork, including removal of structures and obstructions, soil excavation, preparation of foundations for embankment, disposal of excavated material, preparation of subgrade, subbase, and temporary water pollution, and soil erosion. -
Utility infrastructure installation is the pipes, cables, wires, sewers, drains, plants, and equipment, providing utility service to properties. Water and sewer line installation is an example of this.Collins Contracting has the technical understanding and expertise to manage and construct a wide variety of utility projects.
We have comprehensive familiarity with water line installations, transmission mains, fire systems, hot and chilled water systems, storm sewer systems, street signals and lighting, and sewer lift and pump stations. This experience affords our customers with cost-effective and high-quality utility infrastructure work. -
Before road development begins, we first prepare the terrain that will be the base layer for the pavement. We do this with soil stabilization and pavement reclamation. In this process, we are renewing the underlying materials into a uniform stabilized core foundation.
Additionally, we improve soil composition to meet the needs of our project. These enhancements include, but are not limited to, weight-bearing capabilities, tensile strength, and overall performance to strengthen road pavings. -
Collins Contracting affords a broad spectrum of concrete installation services executed by our skilled workforce and managed by our project development team to keep the larger site project on schedule. Our experienced workforce utilizes multiple paving applications, such as road construction and installing a wide array of cast-in-place products.
We use advanced 3D machine modeling technology to produce precise plans, empowering us to control our paving projects with the highest level of execution and precision. We also sustain professional ties with regional quarries, securing seamless product acquisition.
